Hi and welcome to Montessori meets NGSS!
As a Montessori teacher with over 15 years of experience, I am an avid believer in the benefits of the Montessori philosophy of education.. Over the years I've witnessed it work wonders for many children from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
I am also a great believer in the importance of science education. I started this project in the hopes of building on the benefits of Montessori with research-based science literacy education. I stumbled upon NGSS and the marriage of the two seemed inevitable.
This website and its resources began as a St. Mary's College of California M.A. project, but I hope it continues to grow as a community resource for the successful teaching and learning of science. Although it is focused on the Montessori approach, all educators are welcome!
